NDS advises companies and workers and specialized contractors within the construction and infrastructure sector in the field of education and career and is consistent with stake and shareholders and vocational education institutes to the wishes of the industry.
In order to generate a sufficient potential of future professionals and to promote good education for the sector NDS provides information and resources for professional orientation, that bodies in the sector (schools and training companies) to focus on potential entrants. This will improve the base of the skilling companies. Additionally NDS puts much energy into strategies for the further development of employees in construction and infrastructure.
NDS and partners recognizes that workers from EU member states are increasingly becoming a vital part of the EU community and the local workforce. The influx of immigrants into the EU community has provided an opportunity for employers to fill positions, particularly in the construction, service and manufacturing industries. While many new EU member states workers have assimilated into the workforce, others are more challenged to overcome cultural and language barriers that exist.
NDS believes that it is in the best interest of employers to better understand and help bridge the cultural and language divide as more foreign-born workers stream into the workforce. Being proactive in helping break down these barriers is necessary.
